Michael Jackson – This Is It (2009) DVD & Blu-Ray Review
The legacy of Michael Jackson's concert - This Was It
I will never forget waking up at 5am to travel 2 hours to work, in order to be at my desk ready and waiting for 7am, the moment the concert tickets went of sale. Four hours later, after seeing a "you're in the virtual queue...", I successfully got my 2 tickets for the This Is It concert at the O2 in London.
After moonwalking and hee hee'ing around the office for 5 minutes, I was incredibly excited to see this historic performance. Michael Jackson has been the one of the best live performers for decades, and to see his last concert would have been amazing.
I was reluctant to see this as the cinema so soon after his death, but bought the Blu-Ray to experience the full visual and audio impact. OMG. This truly was going to be one of the greatest shows on earth.
This movie is not like a movie. It's edited seamlessly between many different takes of the rehearsals, singing, dancing, video productions, etc. This behind the scenes footage was only going to be for MJ's private collection.
His passion, his direction, his vision for this concert surpasses all previous tours, and for a man in his 50's, he still proves he can move and sing with little effort.
Buying this movie is a must for any fan. You can't help but sit and sing along out load being fully mesmerised by it all. These greatest hits spanning his career of pop, show why he rightfully earnt the title of King.
Highly recommended.

Nice blog at http://www.jimhaysom.com. Michael Jackson was a great pop star. I just read that the Texas Medical Board has restricted the doctor charged in Michael Jackson’s death from administering the drug authorities say was responsible for killing the pop star.
