Penn & Teller tickets for London HMV Hammersmith Apollo in July 2010
It fills me with great excitement that in 7 days, America's greatest comedian magicians, Penn & Teller, return to the UK for the first time in 16 years.
Now in my thirties, I'm imagining that the audience will be packed of like-minded people, reminiscing the late-night TV episodes in the mid 90's, when they performed some of the craziest magic tricks. Vividly remember the live rabbit being thrown onto a tree branch shredder.
I have 2 tickets for Wednesday 14th July 2010 at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London. However, my dearest brother cannot make it due to work and holiday commitments, so I have a spare ticket!
With front row seats in the Circle, basically just off the middle on the balcony, the view will be incredible. A prime position to try and figure out how the hell they will pull off some of the amazing stunts.
If you're reading this, and you would like to buy my spare ticket, visit my eBay Shop or click on Shop at the top of this website and buy with PayPal. Only £50 and free next day Special Delivery, cost me £48.25. I might put it on Best Offer if it doesn't shift in the next few days, so take a look or get in touch.
Penn & Teller have had an award winning show at Las Vegas for a number of years. So it's expected to be a cracking night out. It kicks of at 8pm, doors open 6.30pm.
You can never remember which one is Penn and which one is Teller, but most people who vaguely know who they are, reference them as the really big one with a ponytail, and the short balding one.
True, but what you don't realise is that people of my generation look beyond the appearance and admire the genius of them both. Defying physics, logic and sometimes ethics, you get a mashup of comedy, theatrics and magic.
It certainly beats Paul Daniels and his assistant Debbie Magee. Actually, I once had a Paul Daniels magic kit as a kid, and remember performing the 'pull a rope through someones neck' trick on a family member at Xmas. This would simply be a canapé in an American twelve course feast.
Bring out the main course and the carving knife!
